Vanguard Academy Public Charter School sits in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley, a diverse and dynamic region of the Rio Grande Valley. Vanguard Academy compromises of 10 square miles and encompasses the cities of Alamo, Edinburg, and Pharr. Vanguard is the second largest charter district in South Texas.

Founded on sound morals, values, and principles, Vanguard Academy has grown into a large community-based school system. Innovation, tenacity, vision, and equity are key drivers that have shaped Vanguard Academy into one of the area’s most prominent and forward-looking school systems. Vanguard Academy’s purpose is to prepare students to be successful in their continuing education, to create positive learning habits and working ethics, to prepare students to be successful in their careers and to teach students to be responsible and respectful. Vanguard Academy will build a positive self-esteem and challenge students to be independent thinkers with good character. Vanguard Academy prioritizes on teaching students the highest standards of academics and extends an opportunity to express their own unique gifts and talents.

🏐✨ Senior Emily De La Garza was chosen to represent Vanguard Academy in the 2023 West All-Star Volleyball Senior Showcase. 👏 Vanguard Academy teachers made a strong impact at Region One's 2023 UTECH Conference! 📚 This year's event was an enriching experience, empowering our educators with up-to-date insights, innovative ideas, and best practices in using instructional technology. 🚀 The highlight of this year's conference was ways to effectively incorporate AI into daily instructional practices.
